Luke and Alanna made the trip from their home in Massachusetts to do their engagement session at Gillette Castle State Park. It was a beautiful afternoon and a little foliage still existed in the woods around the castle. They are an absolute joy to be with. I can’t say enough about how fun and caring they are. Luke was always kissing Alanna and they just naturally snuggled in while posing for pictures. They both have a great sense of humor. I believe in the saying “the couple who laughs together stays together” and I know they have many, many years of laughter and love ahead! I can’t wait to document their wedding next year at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills!
Jodie and Robby had a beautiful wedding day. Their ceremony was held at Christ Church Greenwich and reception at Riverside Yacht Club. Nothing could stop the day from being beautiful, not even a little rain. I love how Robby & Jodie are so laid back that the rain didn’t ruin their day. They were so happy to be married and enjoy having all their friends and family around them that they didn’t even care. The two totally compliment each other and it was fun to hear the great stories that were told during the reception about their time dating. There were so many laughs had by all. The dance floor was full all night and the bride and groom danced until the last song was played. It was truly an honor to document this special couple!
Jodie wore her sister’s wedding dress and just had it altered to change the look a bit. It was breathtaking on her!
I love this moment with her flower girl
The church was stunning
My favorite pic is always the bride and groom coming back down the isle. And look at the isle!
Their details were beautiful!

I was honored to have the opportunity to document Nick and Beatrice’s vow renewal in July. I loved hearing about their 15 year journey and meeting their boys. We have so much in common being at the same point in life – achieving 15 years of marriage and having kids the same age. I thought it was just wonderful that they celebrated how far they’ve come as a couple and as a family. Beatrice planned the whole party herself. Every detail was beautiful!
Kelsey is passionate, caring, fun loving and has a very big heart. I’ve known her for quite a few years now and she holds a special with me. You may remember back some time ago when Kelsey was assisting me on family shoots while she was studying photography at Paier School of Art. I was honored when she asked me to document her wedding with Kyle. I’ve gotten to know Kyle while they were dating and from some photo sessions I’ve had with them. He is the perfect other half to Kelsey. They are friends first. They respect each other. They love each others family. They don’t take themselves too seriously – which I love Their wedding was filled with some happy tears, some rain, and a lot of laughs. It was my privilege to be there through it all. The day couldn’t have been more perfect. All their close family and friends at were at the ceremony in Wickham Park and then back to Kelsey’s brother’s house for a beautiful tented reception in Middletown. I wish you guys all the best in married life. I know you two will have many, many happy years together!
They say April showers bring May flowers, but not on Olivia & Jordan’s wedding day! We totally lucked out with the weather that late April day. They were married at Dandfords Hotel & Marina in Port Jefferson, NY. The air was a little chilly but the sun was shining out over the Long Island Sound and it was just perfect. I would highly recommend taking an afternoon and jumping on the ferry in Bridgeport and riding it over to Port Jefferson. It drops you off right on the doorstep of Danfords. They have delicious food at their restaurant, Wave, and outdoor seating facing the water.
Olivia & Jordan started the day with their outdoor ceremony, complete with their beloved dog and ring bearer, Pharoah. He stole the show They both wrote their own vows which were so heartfelt I was shooting through tears! We were able to capture some photos on the dock at Danfords and then everyone headed inside for dinner and dancing. The band Kick had the dance floor full all night long! It truly was a fantastic day and I don’t think Jordan & Olivia stopped smiling. They compliment each other so well. Missy & I thank you for allowing us to document your day!

I came across this great article featured on Style Me Pretty the other day. Writing your own vows can be a tough task because you want to say the perfect thing. I mean, it’s your wedding day and you’re professing your love and intentions to your soon to be husband or wife and all your family and friends. No pressure! I thought this article gave some great advice. I’ve photographed plenty of weddings were couples have written their own meaningful vows. It’s so special and unique. If you’re considering this I highly suggest this article!
As I mentioned last week I’m going to be doing weekly posts to share some of the fantastic weddings and sessions I’ve had over the past year. And this wedding was nothing short of fantastic! Kate and Jay had a gorgeous spring wedding at the beautiful Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT. I just adored their first look. Kate looked absolutely stunning and when Jay got a glimpse of her, it brought tears to his eyes!
It was my first time shooting at the Heritage and I was very impressed by the grounds and photo ops we found. The Heritage does a beautiful job curating the area they have set up for outdoor ceremonies. It made a great backdrop for the photos. Thank you Melissa Ball Photography for 2nd shooting this wedding and to Kate & Jay for allowing us to document their day!
Happy New Year everyone! It’s the perfect time for fresh starts, resolutions and setting goals for the new year. I have been busy setting up my business plan for the year and looking ahead at the wonderful couples I’m working with in 2016. I can’t wait to get the wedding season started! My first wedding is with Olivia and Jordan. They’re getting married at the beautiful Danfords Hotel & Marina in Port Jefferson, NY. I thought I would share some of their engagement photos that I took at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middletown, CT. Funny story, the first time I met with them at their consultation we found out quickly that we all live in the same neighborhood and bring our dogs to the same dog parks, etc. (small world!) So the Barns seemed like a perfect spot since it’s in our hometown. Speaking of dogs, their little guy stole the show I can’t wait for their spring wedding!
P.S. My first resolution this year is to blog on a weekly basis. Yes, yes… I know. I’m setting tall expectations. But I figure if I actually tell you all that I’m doing this then someone is holding me accountable, right? I have a catalog of photos of my fantastic clients that I NEED and WANT to share. This is not like my diet resolution I make every year that ends by February 1st. I promise.
They both grew up loving being near the Long Island Sound. It played a role in their childhood. They both loved sailing and competitive swimming. As a child, KC’s summers were spent at Roton Point and since he and Danielle started dating, it has become a place for them to host BBQ’s and enjoy the Sound together. Once they became engaged, they had no doubt that this would be the place they would celebrate with their family and friends on their wedding day.
Danielle is the most organized bride I’ve met. Since her job consists of planning events for others, it was no surprise that her wedding was planned out perfectly! Her attention to detail is that to be envied. Every single detail was gorgeous! And despite the rain, we were able to squeeze in a few shots on the jetty that were important to KC & Danielle. They were both a little wind blown but you couldn’t wipe the smile off their faces!
Spending time with you both made me realize your love is just amazing. Thank you for allowing me to document that. Enjoy Bora Bora!

Scott & Kara are two of the biggest sports fans I know. I’m always seeing Kara posting images of her and Scott on Facebook wearing their favorite team shirt and sitting in the stands at a game. It seemed totally fitting that they had a sports themed wedding complete with baseball roses in the bouquets (made by Kara) and a Stanley Cup wedding cake! They were married this past January at the Burgundy Basin in Pittsford, NY. It’s been a while since I attended RIT, but I haven’t forgotten what those COLD winters are like in Rochester. But despite the chilly weather, we were able to grab a few pics outdoors. Most of the formal pictures were taken at the Monroe County Office Building. The building’s focal point is its center atrium featuring Italian marble walls and columns that rise the entire four floors to the main skylight 100 feet above. Gorgeous!! And while were there the Mayor of Rochester, Lovely Warren, was also getting her picture taken after being sworn into office. We were able to grab a photo with her!
It was a fantastic day filled with friends and family which ended with a honeymoon in Australia! Enjoy this preview of their gorgeous day!
