MJ } Newborn Session – Canton CT

It was a chilly day in December when I met Emily for her maternity session. Despite being cold, she looked absolutely radiant! Her little man arrived just recently (a little late!) and was the most cooperative newborn I’ve had yet. At two weeks old, he had the most relaxed personality and I think it’s a direct reflection of his parents. They were all wonderful to work with!

Will & Katrina} Engagement Session – Middletown, CT

My last engagement session of 2013 was on a cold, blustery December day with Will & Katrina. They wanted to incorporate their love of reading, knitting and beer :) for their session. I just love getting input from my couples on their interests and what type of locations fit their personality. They love hanging out at Keagan’s Irish Pub in Middletown, CT and the owner was kind enough to let us locals in for a casual shoot. After that we took a nice, freezing cold walk (they were great sports!) down Main St. and headed to the tunnel that goes under Route 9 to the river. I found a couple nice spots along the way for a few intimate photos and then we got a few shots with the Arrigoni Bridge in the background just as the sun set. Katrina is a life long resident of Middletown so it made sense having a great landmark in the photos. I’m so lucky to have great clients and I can’t wait for their wedding this summer!

Kyle & Allison } Married – The Lace Factory, Deep River Connecticut

Allison and I got along right away because she’s a detail person. She makes lists and so do I. My desk is always full of “to do lists”. Every little loving detail she put into the wedding was nothing short of perfect. And Kyle has the sense of humor of my husband. I warmed up to them immediately because they have a love story similar to the one my husband and I have. They started out together (knowing each other back in the day) went around in circles only to end up back together later in life. And they balance each other perfectly.
I had a hard time choosing pictures for this blog post because there were so many gorgeous details from the day. The Lace Factory had the most warm, rustic feel and was a perfect backdrop for the soft flowers and neutral colors.
Prepare yourself for this gorgeous day….

Rob & Sam } Married – The Pavilion on Crystal Lake, Middletown Connecticut

Rob & Sam said their vows and had their reception at the beautiful Pavilion on Crystal Lake in Middletown CT.

I don’t think I have heard such beautiful words on a wedding day.  Each family member who spoke about Rob & Sam said the same thing – they are both wonderful people and even more wonderful as a couple.  Rob is the youngest of 10 children and doesn’t have a selfish bone in his body.  Sam is always smiling and can make you feel at ease the moment you see her.

Here is a a little glimpse of how great they truly are.  This is what they wrote to me in a thank you card following the wedding:

“Thank you so much for everything you did to capture our day.  The pictures are perfect and you caught every detail.  Thank you again for your beautiful work!”

I am truly blessed to have such wonderful clients!

From Sam:
Dress: I bought it in Fairfield from Dama Bianca, they are amazing and have so many beautiful dresses in a range of prices, I would highly recommend them. My dress is from the Allure collection.
Florist: Jane from Just for you Floral Design Studio in Middlefield, CT. She went above and beyond. My flowers were my favorite part of the wedding decor, and our boquets were so gorgeous.
Bakery: Hope from A Little Imagination Cakes in Middletown, CT. Super nice, and everything was delicious. She even made Rob a white Russian cupcake because it’s one of his favorite cocktails!
Everyone at the CT Wedding Group was so attentive and helpful through out the process. They really brought everything together for us.
