Family Session } Wadsworth Mansion, Middletown CT

It’s been a few years since I’ve seen this family and I always feel so fortunate when my clients book repeat sessions. The boys have grown tremendously since the last time. And they are nothing short of typical boys!! I loved it! They wouldn’t sit still, wouldn’t stop laughing and turned sticks into light sabers. The fun was endless and I captured it just as it was. This age lasts only so long and these two amazing parents are enjoying every minute!

Scott & Kara} Married – Rochester, NY

Scott & Kara are two of the biggest sports fans I know. I’m always seeing Kara posting images of her and Scott on Facebook wearing their favorite team shirt and sitting in the stands at a game. It seemed totally fitting that they had a sports themed wedding complete with baseball roses in the bouquets (made by Kara) and a Stanley Cup wedding cake! They were married this past January at the Burgundy Basin in Pittsford, NY. It’s been a while since I attended RIT, but I haven’t forgotten what those COLD winters are like in Rochester. But despite the chilly weather, we were able to grab a few pics outdoors. Most of the formal pictures were taken at the Monroe County Office Building. The building’s focal point is its center atrium featuring Italian marble walls and columns that rise the entire four floors to the main skylight 100 feet above. Gorgeous!! And while were there the Mayor of Rochester, Lovely Warren, was also getting her picture taken after being sworn into office. We were able to grab a photo with her!
It was a fantastic day filled with friends and family which ended with a honeymoon in Australia! Enjoy this preview of their gorgeous day!

MJ } Newborn Session – Canton CT

It was a chilly day in December when I met Emily for her maternity session. Despite being cold, she looked absolutely radiant! Her little man arrived just recently (a little late!) and was the most cooperative newborn I’ve had yet. At two weeks old, he had the most relaxed personality and I think it’s a direct reflection of his parents. They were all wonderful to work with!

Will & Katrina} Engagement Session – Middletown, CT

My last engagement session of 2013 was on a cold, blustery December day with Will & Katrina. They wanted to incorporate their love of reading, knitting and beer :) for their session. I just love getting input from my couples on their interests and what type of locations fit their personality. They love hanging out at Keagan’s Irish Pub in Middletown, CT and the owner was kind enough to let us locals in for a casual shoot. After that we took a nice, freezing cold walk (they were great sports!) down Main St. and headed to the tunnel that goes under Route 9 to the river. I found a couple nice spots along the way for a few intimate photos and then we got a few shots with the Arrigoni Bridge in the background just as the sun set. Katrina is a life long resident of Middletown so it made sense having a great landmark in the photos. I’m so lucky to have great clients and I can’t wait for their wedding this summer!
