Sean & Ashley had a fairy tale wedding at the Eolia Mansion in Waterford, CT. It was the most gorgeous fall day, perfect for an outdoor wedding! Everything came together perfectly. The theme throughout the day was how family is so important to them and each family member played a role in the wedding. Sean and Ashley were so happy – you couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces! They had such a touching ceremony done by their Poppy. It was very emotional and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. From the moment they saw each other, they couldn’t take their eyes off one another. They are so connected and genuine. I wish these soul mates a lifetime of happiness!

Edward & Alison – Mystic

I was very excited to get to shoot another wedding at Mystic Seaport. It is always a pleasure working with the staff there. Jennifer Brinton did an amazing job planning the wedding and making the day run smooth. And the best part was the great couple who asked me to be at Mystic with them. Edward and Alison were so laid back on their wedding day, they were making ME feel at ease!
They decided to see each other before the ceremony, and they set up the meeting place out in the lawn. I love being a part of that moment when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day! All of their most important people were lined up watching. It was one of my favorite moments. Second favorite moment was the gorgeous sunset that evening. Missy and I grabbed as many shots as we could in the last few minutes of the sun setting. And my last favorite thing was how important their family is to them. Alison’s father gave a great toast and was able to put into words how caring and loving they are. They compliment each other so well. Best of luck for many happy years together!

Kristen & Chris – Engaged

It was a gorgeous night on the beach in Old Lyme. Kristen had the great idea of doing some of the pictures on the beach and some down the road where a few little shops once existed. I loved the idea and couldn’t wait to explore the area! We were lucky too because the beach was in pretty good shape-considering we just had the hurricane come through.

Thanks guys for suggesting such a fun place for pictures! Can’t wait until your wedding in 2012!

Dana & John – Engaged

I love getting to know future wedding couples. Dana & John were open about how they met and how their wedding plans are going. They laughed and joked with each other and shared their love for the Cowboys with me. It’s an honor to get to be a part of such an important time in their life. Kristen & Mike Married @ The Barns

Rain on a wedding day is considered good luck. I believe that’s true since Kristen and Mike’s wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills. They have all the luck they need because they have each other! Rain or shine it didn’t matter-they had a beautiful day. We even had a break in the rain for some pics outside. Kristen came prepared with rain boots and an umbrella! Julie & Jared

It was one of the hottest days of the summer the day Julie and Jared were married. And although everyone was melting while watching them say their vows, not one person complained. In fact, I only heard people whispering inside the church about how beautiful Julie looked and how happy they were for both of them. The day was very much about family and friends for Julie & Jared. When you meet them you instantly know how wonderful they are. They compliment each other perfectly!

Jared & Nicole had a gorgeous wedding day at the Guilford Yacht Club. The day was perfect. They were married out on the lawn where there was a beautiful view of the water, and the dance floor was full of people celebrating the new bride and groom that evening. I was very lucky to have Missy Ball shooting with me. We had a great time capturing the love happening between this couple. I just adore the pics we got after the ceremony when they were soaking up the moments of being newly married!

Sean & Ashley Engagement

Shaun & I got to spend a gorgeous evening with Ashley & Sean at Harkness State Park. They’re planning their October wedding there and I’m ecstatic to be shooting it! Harkness is by far one of my favorite wedding spots.
Ashley and Sean are very laid back and easy to talk to. I felt at ease walking around the grounds and getting to know them better. I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding!

Cristina & Gary=Married 05.06.2011

I’ve been excited about Cristina and Gary’s wedding since last fall when I shot their engagement session. They are two very compassionate people who fit each other perfectly. Family is #1 to them and they treat their friends like family. They appreciated everyone who participated in their wedding-and most of all they appreciate each other. They feel comfortable with each other, they depend on each other and they certainly complete one another.

Gary’s Grandfather was the first person out of the church to congratulate him. As I was taking the pic I heard him say, “I hope you have as many happy married years as I have.” I believe it was somewhere are 60 yrs. of marriage. It brought tears to my eyes!

The next few pics were taken down below the Riverhouse in Haddam, near the dock. I absolutely love them!!

Their friends & family gave some of the best toasts I have heard yet!

Cristina also gave a toast. It was very emotional and Gary was tearing up and wanted her to stop. There was no way she was stopping until she told everyone how much she loved him. She told him how amazing he his, genuine and kind. Her rock. Her best friend.
He resorted to using the napkin as a tissue! It was very sweet!

Bridgett

I was recently asked by Bridgett, owner of Perideau Designs, to do some head shots for her website. She is in the process of updating and re-designing it and wanted a fresh look. I took a peak at her blog recently and was happy to see we picked some of the same favorite pics. You can see mine below. Doesn’t she look beautiful?!
Bridgett is not only an amazing person, but a great business woman. Smart and savvy. I just adore her products. I highly recommend taking a look through her site to see all the goodies she offers. I got to see her products in person and the little muslin bags are so sweet. I also really admire how organized and motivated she is. (There are seriously some days where I could use a lesson in that department!) Bridgett is the type of woman who puts her mind to something and is successful at it.
I was really excited to be working with her again (I’ve done just a FEW family pics with her before) and I’m always humbled when they call me back each year. Her daughter is adorable!! Thanks Bridgett
