Family of 5

I had a great time with this family! The kiddos had so much energy – they’re right around the same age as mine so I felt right at home. They had a great time exploring around The Barns at Wesleyan Hills. The boys were running circles around their sister (and she was doing her best to keep up!). She toddled all around. And when I would say something to her, she would stick her tongue out at me. (I didn’t take it personally though. It was the cutest tongue I’ve seen :) )
They found a good tree to climb so that became the highlight of the session. Oh, and knowing they were going to McDonald’s for lunch after was a bonus. Guess it’s time to dust off those frames, take wedding pics out, and put in some new ones!

2 weeks old

I’m not really into taking pics out in the cold and rain, especially of newborns. It’s not my thing. But…..it just so happened that the sun was out (for once!) and there was great light outside so I decided we would go outside and shoot for a bit. The baby was just getting warmed up to the idea of having his picture taken – and it starts to sprinkle. Then we started losing sunlight. Plus it was getting cold – so cold, in fact, that he started shaking! Full body shakes!! I felt so bad keeping him out in the freezing cold JUNE weather that we had to go inside for the rest of the pics. I’m so sorry little “A”. I will do just about ANYTHING for a great shot, except that. I will never do that again, I promise. :)

Session for one please!

This session was a refreshing change of pace. It was a beautiful day. And yet again, another session that had to be rescheduled a couple of times due to weather. (I’m totally over the rain. So really, it can stop any day now!) D and I got to walk around downtown Middletown and take some great portraits of her. I enjoyed the local scenery and being in our hometown. Some of the sites there made it a great backdrop for this session. D had the most beautiful eyes….don’t ya think? I hope the end result is what you’re looking for, and now your friend can stop “twisting your arm” to get the pics done! :) Good luck!

My little bro

This is John, my brother. He’s fun, unique, athletic, loves movies & music. Oh yeah, and has Down Syndrome. He’s turning 30 this year. (yes, he’s younger than me!) So there’s a big celebration about to happen in a couple of weeks. I thought I would get the party started early and take a few pics of him before the big day. I know I can’t wait. Payback is grand, he he.

Two Cuties

These two little ones just turned one. And their personalities haven’t changed much since the first session I had with them! Too cute! The only catch…they can walk. And pretty much run. So, let’s say, if they don’t feel like getting their picture taken, they just get up and leave. So I did a lot of running around and tried to keep up with them! Grandma got in on the fun too, for a few pics with the girls. Too cute – did I say that already? Ok, waaaayyy toooo cute. That’s better.
