Back at the Barns

Amy has a wonderful way about her. She’s a dancer and it is obvious in the way she moves. She was very comfortable in front of the camera. This is something I appreciate not only as a photographer but also because I have never been totally comfortable in front of the camera myself!
We were at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills (stay tuned for another post from a wedding I shot there!) Thanks to Kelsey for her help on this shoot – she was great at pointing out some new spots to use there!

The tall grass around the ponds made these 3 three my favorite

My favorite – this tree was calling my name!

A Little Girl on the Way

The storm clouds rolled into Old Wethersfield threatening us with some thunder during this session….but the first raindrops fell just as I was taking the last few pics.
I love this location. I’ve shot here numerous times and it never gets old. I find a new spot to love each time I come. And this time the new spots were filled with this great couple! Amy looks so wonderful pregnant. She was about 4cm dilated during this session and we were a little worried the baby might come before we got a chance to take the pics. But the stars aligned (or at least the storm clouds did!) and we were able to have this amazing session.

Doesn’t she look great?

These last three are my favorites….

This boy is gonna have a sense of humor….

The thing I loved the most about this session is how much Alva laughed. Her laugh is infectious. And the person who makes her laugh the most is Amin. He whispered in her ear throughout the whole session and it just made me smile. They are made for each other!

Tania

Tania is soo excited – her new little one is a girl! Not that she doesn’t love the boys in her house, but she’s definitely out numbered. :)
The whole family was so welcoming and sweet, it was such a pleasure to work with them! I can’t wait to come back and take pics of baby “G” with her brothers!

I love this one!

And this might be my favorite…

“Once there was a tree, and she loved a little boy. ”

I fell in love with a house. No, really, I did. The large windows that let in all the wonderful sunlight. The gorgeous staircase. The old charm. It was all there. But what made this house REALLY special was the couple who live in it. Their love was present throughout the whole house. And my camera had no problem capturing it.

This little bookshelf in the nursery holds his ultrasound pic, pics of mom & dad when they were toddlers and a PSU teddy of course!

I absolutely love this photo! The sign above the door was the first thing I saw when I walked in and I had to get that in a photo because it just fit them so well

And Jackson, he resumed his usual position, right on momma’s lap!
