Dear Rain – thank you for coming

I know I’ve been preaching on here how much I LOVE the fall leaves and weather – and that’s all true and good. And deep down when I arrived at this family’s house in Bethel, I was dissapointed that it was pouring out. I envisioned this family playing and jumping in the leaves under the big tree in the backyard. I wanted to see all the orange and red trees lining the background of the pics. But I lost sight of what I REALLY came to photograph. It wasn’t the fall colors and scenery. It was the little snuggles and loud giggles of this little girl – trees or no trees – it didn’t make a difference the season. Yup, this worked out just fine. Thank you rain for coming today.

Aaliyah

I love these fall sessions! The leaves look so beautiful now and I’m going to be sad to see the fall colors go. I’m glad I got to capture some of the last of the fall leaves at Hubbard Park with this cute family! Aaliyah is as cute as a button – and she has the shirt to prove it!

A Dance Party

We had a gorgeous day for pics at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills. The sun peeked through the clouds giving just the right amount of light on these two little ones. They explored the area all around the barns and I kept snapping away as they ran by me. It’s sooo not as much fun to sit as it is to get up and go! Or in their case, dance. One of their favorite things to do!

Too Cool for School

These kids are naturals! Seriously ready for a Gap Kids ad. We went out for pics and they got right into it. Halfway through the session they were telling ME where to take the pics! I have to say….I was impressed. The proof is in the pudding….

Southford Falls

We ALMOST had to reschedule this session for the second time – but mother nature cooperated with us! The rain held off but it was COLD! I met this family at Southford Falls. It was my first visit there and it was such a beautiful park! There was a really cool covered bridge and the girls loved running back and forth on it. I’m so glad we were able to get together – even though our noses were cold!
