Blustery day in Meriden

We had a sunny fall day for these family pics, but boy was it windy and cold! We made it through and everyone tried to keep warm. The littlest one had to take a couple of breaks and get some warmth and food. What a gorgeous yard for a session! We had an assortment of nice spots to choose from. Although keeping a 2 year old in one spot for too long is tough! (don’t I know :) ) They are such an adorable family! And the little one had on my fav hats by Jamie Rea!

Nice fall day in Guilford

Well, we lucked out this time. This session was supposed to have happened a couple of weeks ago when we got rain. In fact, it was on this little one’s 1st birthday! So we rescheduled and ended up with a beautiful fall day. This guy was loving his independence and was scooting around the yard. It’s so much fun at this age when they can stand on their own and you can capture them getting around hanging onto things. He was getting hungry so we took a little food break in the middle and he came back around for the family pics. There’s always time for eating and resting during sessions so don’t stress if your child gets tired and needs a break. If it makes them happy then it’s worth it!
And can you stand those blue eyes? Too cute!

A Great Morning for Pictures at Hammonasset

I had a lot of fun following these 2 cuties all over Meigs point while they explored the beach. Good thing I had sneakers on because it was hard keeping up with them! I know too well how curious kids this age are because my 2 are almost the same age. We couldn’t have had a more beautiful day. This family had to be rescheduled a couple of times and I appreciate their patience. Enjoy!

Family Session

I swear I get to photograph the cutest kids! This cutie had the sweetest, curliest hair. I just loved it! We had the session at Harkness State Park and it was nice to see the changes taking place there as fall emerges. We had beautiful weather – what a nice change from a couple of weekends ago. Sorry to all those who had to reschedule…you never know what mother nature is going to do! Thanks to everyone for being so cooperative with the rescheduling process.

My cute little man

I took my son out the other day for a mini photo shoot. My daughter was in school and I thought I could get his full attention. And maybe, possibly have him make some eye contact with me (the camera) and not her. Well, it lasted for about 15 min. or so and then it was over. He’s 2, what can I say? I took him to Eli Canon’s in Middletown. The outside of that place is so cool, great colors, signs, etc. I pass by there all the time and have always wanted to do a shoot out front. I’m constantly on the look-out for new places to shoot. Sometimes the most unlikely places make the best backdrops. So….that brings me to my point (it wasn’t just that my kid is cute!). Everyone who decides to book a session should give the location some serious thought. There are so many great spots in CT and I’m open for suggestions. It can really take your session to the next level when you pick the right location. And I’m always willing to make recommendations too!
