2 becomes 3…

You may recognize this couple. I photographed their wedding here at Groton Long Point last year and we thought it would be the perfect place for the newborn session.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of capturing newborn pictures for a couple whose wedding I photographed and I LOVE seeing these couples enjoying their newborns!! I have never seen more relaxed first time parents. Believe it or not, this little guy slept through the whole session! This has never happened before. I have to say, he was willing to do just about anything! :)

Since sleeping is what he wanted to do most, we decided to go with it and snuggled him up into this nice cozy sack. These baby cocoons are hand-made by my mother-in-law with the finest yarns and are simply beautiful. She was kind enough to make me a couple for my newborn sessions. This one was perfect for this little guy. “Shameless little plug”.. you may contact Deborah Langdon @ 315-902-4036 if you would like to inquire about purchasing one.

Finally, on to the pictures.

Senior Portrait Session

My first post on my new blog! How exciting! I must say, don’t you just love the size of the pics on here?

We got very lucky the day of this session. We beat the thunderstorms! It was a beautiful overcast day which made the lighting great. K was an awesome model! She was up for traveling around to some great locations for her senior pics. We started out at the sunflower maze at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield. The great thing about this (besides huge sunflowers!) is they donate $1 from each admission to CCMC which is where my son had his cleft surgery. (You can read more about that in a previous entry )

Then we headed to the Barns at Wesleyan Hills and then to Wadsworth Manison. This is the first senior session I’ve done and I’m thinking about adding a package for seniors in the future. Teens are so much fun to work with! I will put a link here to a slideshow of her pics once they are all finished so everyone can see how the session turned out. Plus some more info if anyone is interested in senior pics. Hope you like the pics K. The rest will be finished soon.
