A trip to the city

I had the pleasure of traveling to NYC with Kelsey this past weekend for a newborn session. It was a cold but sunny day – perfect traveling weather. We got to spend some of the afternoon with this little beauty. She made the trip worth while! They say she has her father’s eyes and her mother’s lips. Anyway you look at it, I think she got the perfect combination. And she did so well during her little modeling session! “Picture perfect” you might say. I know, that was a little cheesy(Yup, I’m full of them! I’ll quit while I’m ahead.)

The first time I had a session with Lidia was about six months ago. She was cute as a button then, and still is now! She warmed up much faster this time – by the end of the session I was reading Eric Carle books with her! 6 months makes such a big difference at this age. They are constantly changing and developing their own personalities. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to capture her again!

This mama-to-be was looking for some pics with an edgy flair, something to represent her style. Her best friend bought her the session so she could capture her pregnancy in the last few weeks before her son was born. They had a good time picking out her clothes and playing around with her make-up for a more dramatic effect. I had a great time changing up the lighting and I couldn’t resist the beautiful natural light coming in through the window.
